She leaves family in Sandwich.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Dukelow, to whom she was married for 50 years.An only child, she was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She moved to Brookline as a young child and graduated from Brookline High School.Prior to her marriage she was employed as a secretary and resumed her career in later years.Ms. Dukelow was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Brookline and later worshipped at the First Congregational Church of Yarmouthport, where she was a Sunday School teacher and participated in church events.A former Framingham resident, she and her husband moved to Cape Cod after retirement and both took up golf.The couple enjoyed traveling and took a memorable trip to Scotland, home of her ancestors.She was a huge fan of the Red Sox.She leaves her daughter, Jane Dukelow Goddard and her husband, John Goddard, of Yarmouthport; four grandchildren, Sarah Goddard Quinn of Wilbraham, Matthew Goddard of Charlestown, Andrew Goddard of Stratham, New Hampshire, Kristin Goddard Alicandro of Sandwich; and seven great-grandchildren, Olivia Quinn, Caroline Quinn, William Quinn, David Quinn, Joseph Goddard, Weston Goddard and John Alicandro.There was a service Tuesday, November 20, at Duckett Funeral Home in Sudbury. Interment followed at Edgell Grove Cemetery.
Mass. firefighters honored for saving lives

Globe Staff Firefighters from departments across the state were honored Tuesday morning for their heroic acts of bravery. By Emily Sweeney 20181120153030-- By Emily Sweeney Globe Staff November 20, 2018 On the morning of Feb. 7, two off-duty Chicopee firefighters — Michael A. Croteau and Matthew J. Turgeon — were ice fishing at a pond in Easthampton when a man pulling a little boy on a sled suddenly fell through the ice. Croteau and Turgeon rushed over to help, and were able to rescue both the man and the child and pull them out of the freezing cold water.On Feb. 28, Worcester fire Lieutenant Timothy Ridick was returning home from a funeral when he stopped at a friend’s house and heard a fire alarm go off at a house next door, and saw flames coming from the second-floor window. Ridick, who was wearing his dress uniform and no protective gear, went up into the house and started crawling on the floor, yelling to see if anyone needed help. He found two disoriented people inside and led them out to safety.On May 29, Revere firefighters rescued a 60-year-old man from a mobile home that had caught on fire. The man, who was unconscious and barely breathing, survived the ordeal and recently stopped by the fire station to thank the firefighters who saved his life. Advertisement Those were just some of the acts of bravery that were recognized at the 29th annual Firefighter of the Year Awards ceremony, according to a press release from the governor’s office and the Department of Fire Services. The event, which took place at Mechanics Hall in Worcester on Tuesday morning, was attended by Governor Charlie Baker, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Public Safety Secretary Daniel Bennett, Undersecretary of Homeland Security Patrick McMurray, and State Fire Marshal Peter J. Il n’a jamais oublié ses proches.Jamie est né à Montréal le 20 mars 1937, de Henry (Harry) et Barbara (Wilbraham) Plant, il était le cadet de cinq enfants. Il a épousé Gael Eakin en 1961 et ils ont eu quatre filles. En 1990, il épouse Diane Mullins et ils se dévouent mutuellement jusqu’à sa mort. Jamie a fréquenté le LCC, l’Université Bishop’s (BA, 1957) et l’Université McGill (BCL, 1960). Jamie adorait pratiquer le droit des sociétés, d’abord avec le cabinet McMaster Meighen pendant 37 ans, puis avec Fraser & Beatty (Dentons) à Toronto. Toujours un gentilhomme et doté d’un esprit vif, Jamie a vécu une vie bien remplie. Il aimait les plaisirs simples, comme un bon repas avec beaucoup de vin rouge, et trouvait le temps de s’adonner à de nombreuses activités comme le jardinage, l’apiculture, les sports de raquette, le ski, le curling, la musique et de l’opéra amateur, mais son amour et son vif intérêt pour sa famille lui a procuré le plus grand des plaisirs. Lorsqu’il a pris sa retraite dans les Cantons-de-l‘Est, il était particulièrement doué pour être un ‘’gentleman-farmer’’, aimant se promener sur son vieux tracteur, Tina!Prédécédé de ses frères et soeurs Bryony, Hugh et Patrick, il laisse dans le deuil sa sœur bien aimée Cynthia (Espagne).
